Aesthetic Nurse
I qualified in 2005 as a general registered nurse. I specialised in haematology where I worked for 6 years. Following this I progressed my career further by moving to Bupa Home as a Health Care Sister, this included IV chemotherapy administration along with patient education regarding disease specific injections. Throughout my career I’ve always been keen to work in aesthetic medicine, it’s something that has long interested me personally and professionally. I felt the time was right for this in 2024, when I was delighted to join Wendy at Skin Deep Clinic in February. I underwent and successfully completed an enhanced training programme to complement existing nursing skill, qualifying in and perfecting all the treatments we offer at Skin Deep Clinic.“Victoria’s work is faultless, she always sends me away happy, relaxed and feeling like a new woman”
Wendy was determined that my ability and knowledge was at the highest level before I started treating patients, so my training included shadowing her for 3 months and covering all key procedures including, HydraFacial, Laser, Microneedling, Dermal Fillers, Viscoderm, Profhilo and Profhilo Structura. This gave me invaluable insight and experience and far more practical experience than many aesthetics nurses ever get initially.
Alongside shadowing Wendy, I completed a formal education program in aesthetic medicine at Cosmedic Training Academy in Tamworth, completing theoretical and practical assessments under the guidance of one of the UK’s most experienced aesthetic nurses, Sharon King.
