August is a really special month for me as we’re celebrating one whole year in our new, larger premises at Archers Way! I simply can’t believe how quickly the last 12 months have gone. This week we’ve been celebrating with a slice (or two) of cake, but if I’m honest that’s what we do every week! When I moved in last year it was with some natural trepidation at making such a big move, especially as Covid was still hanging around, but I can honestly say it could not have gone better, and so much of that is down to your support and loyalty… so a huge, massive thank you to all my patients, colleagues and friends!
We’ve seen so much change in the last year and it has all been so positive. Here are the last 12 months of Skin Deep Clinic in a nutshell….
NEW TEAM MEMBERS
We are now a team of five ladies, and it is an absolute joy for me to come into work every day with my Archers Way colleagues – we all share a similar sense of humour, a great work ethic and a mutual love of sweet treats. It’s a great combination! So, just to recap for anyone who hasn’t visited for a while this is the Skin Deep Team:
Wendy owner of Skin Deep Clinic. I am a fully qualified nurse prescriber and offer a range of treatments
Mitch is a trained professional counsellor who can help with a variety of emotional issues and runs the Counselling Service at the clinic, she is also our clinic administrator and is usually in reception to meet patients when they arrive
Sally is an excellent and highly qualified physiotherapist. Take a look at her services here
Sophie is our new nurse who has almost completed her training and will be available for appointment from 19 August 2022. Read more about Sophie here.
Lauren is a very talented semi-permanent makeup, brow and lash artist, she is also trained to carry out our HydraFacial treatments. You can book her services here
NEW TREATMENTS AND SERVICES
HydraFacial
In March we introduced HydraFacial to the clinic, and it’s been a massive success. HydraFacial gives you instant and visible results after each treatment. This patented technology follows a six-step treatment process – Detox, Cleanse and Exfoliation, Brightening, Extraction, Hydration and finally Rejuvenation. Dead skin cells and impurities are removed, and the skin is hydrated with antioxidants and peptides.
Counselling
We introduced our Counselling Service to the clinic in September last year. This person-centred counselling is a talking-based form of therapy. At your appointment, you will talk to our trained professional, Mitch Wappner. She will encourage you to share how you feel and the issue/s you wish to overcome.
NEW PRODUCTS
I am delighted to have introduced the ZO Skin Health range of products to the clinic. This really is a game changer for your skin. We are now fully trained in how to advise the best options and I have been using them for over a month to road test and quality check. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
ZO Skin Health offers cutting-edge products and therapeutic treatments. They also compliment the HydraFacial treatment system too. I’m sure you will love it as much as I do. I have plenty of stock in the clinic so please do take a look when you’re next in.
CLINIC EXPANSION
With the arrival of Sophie, our new nurse we are now able to offer you a lot more appointments, including Fridays and weekends. Sophie’s diary is now available to book.
As part of this expansion, we are still in the throes of building Sophie her new treatment room, so as I type there is a still little building work and disruption in the clinic. But this will be ready by mid-August when Sophie starts running her clinic.
So, what a year it’s been and I can’t wait to see what the next 12 months bring. It has been and continues to be an amazing journey and most of all I couldn’t do it without you, all my patients new and longstanding. I truly value your custom and friendship.
As usual there are plenty of things going on at Skin Deep Clinic, we are as busy as ever and it is so lovely to see patients and catch up. If I could, I would make the appointments longer just for some extra chat! See you soon but in the meantime I hope that you are all enjoying a relaxing summer and taking the opportunity for some holiday time, here or abroad.
