Sophie Dickens BSC (Hons), RGN NIP – Aesthetic Nurse, Skin Deep Clinic
I started my nursing career in 2010 on secondment in a Nephrology ward in Shropshire and from 2012-2015 I completed Nurse Training at Staffordshire University, graduating with a BSc (HONS) Degree as a registered nurse. Following my formal qualifications, I undertook seven years of Community Nursing from 2015 to 2022. During this time, I was promoted to Community Nursing Sister which involved managing a small team of nurses and a large caseload of patients within Shropshire.
I have always had a passion and interest in aesthetics and skin health and with that aim in mind in 2017 I completed a Foundation Course in Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers with Harley Academy. However, as the BACN (British Association of Cosmetic Nurses) recommends at least three years nursing experience and 80% of their members have ten years NHS experience, I made the decision to continue in my Community Nursing role to get optimum experience before embarking on a formal career in Aesthetics.
”Sophie and Wendy are the absolute dream team in every way! ”
I am fully qualified and trained in Profhilo (Theory and Practical), HydraFacial (Theory and Practical), Dermal Fillers and Botox Intermediate Course (1-1 with Anthea Aesthetics Training who has over 16 years’ experience) as well as ZO Skin Health Theory Session. I continue to learn and build on my training.
Like Wendy, I am also very proud to be a Save Face accredited practitioner. Save Face is a UK register of Accredited practitioners who provide non-surgical cosmetic treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. The Register is accredited by Professional Standards Authority and is recognised by the Government, The Department of Health, NHS England and The Care Quality Commission.
